Shoulder Surfing

So there were so many better picture of me showing off my Shoulder Surfing skills but the LL wasn't exactly thrilled with her pictures since it was early in the morning and she was on her way to ride Snap. So we compromised. Here you can see one of my intermediate moves, crossing on the front of the shoulder. This requires a good sense of balance but is fairly attainable to most cats as long as the humans help a bit. I had no help as my human was working a camera at the same time.

I've been really working on my mounting technique. The easiest is when the LL is putting her shoes on and I can just leap on her shoulders. On Saturday I attempted the most difficult task I've ever tried while Shoulder Surfing. The LL stopped half way down the stairs so I went down a few and threw myself at her back from a standstill. She was VERY impressed (I assume that's why she was lauging?).

Frootbat Friday

I'm considering a career in professional shoulder surfing. I know there probably isn't too many Temptations to be made but my skills are really getting good. I can bob and weave with the LL whatever she is doing, AND I do it with flair. She goes left, I dig a hind paw in and use just the right amount of claw to keep myself stable. She bends down and I use my front paws on her boobs to make sure I don't fall off. All maintaing a nice purr. The LL hasn't been all that cooperative with my scheduled surfing practices so I have to start climbing her so she remembers. Usually I just have to stand up on her leg and she helps me up. Once I'm up there she can't get me off.

Toesday

The Lap Lady clipped my claws yesterday. I HATE that. You know what she did to me? She held me by my "scruff" between her knees while she held me with one hand and clipped with the other. She tricked me because I thought she suddenly grew a helping hand to hold me but it was just her knees. Anyway, she clipped me all up so I could ride on her shoulders. I find that shoulder surfing is the best way to get around. You don't have to move to get anywhere plus you're higher and safer. I highly recommend it!
