Thursday Thirteen #15
Since the Lap Lady has cold I figured I'd share some interesting facts about her with you all.
1. She is a whole quarter of a century old!!! That's like 25x as old as I am!!!
2. She was born in Maine and lived there until she was 10 years old.
3. Her favorite activity is horseback riding but she doesn't like to go to shows, she says it is too much pressure and not fun for her.
4. She went to the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA for college. She double majored in History and Legal Studies and was supposed to go to law school.
5. She didn't go to law school. She is a partner in an Architectural/Multimedia firm where she works with the Tall Man and the Tall Man's Father and bunch of other cool guys. She does the money stuff.
6. She used to be able to play the piano but she doesn't have one to play anymore.
7. She loves loves loves anything involving history. Particularly US History from the 19th Century.
8. She has been with the Tall Man for 9 years and they've almost been married for 3. That means she met him when she was 16!
9. She can drive a manual shift car, work the radio, and look at me in the backseat all at once. I guess you'd call her a multi-tasker.
10. A lot of the time she misses New England but has learned she likes the warm weather so she thinks someday she wants to move to Florida.
11. She loves to travel but has never had the money & time to "see the world". She has been to every state on the East Coast, parts of Canada, and Jamaica. That's it.
12. She's an only child and loved it but she doesn't want any human children of her own.
13. She loves hiking and being outdoors. But only when its warm outside because she gets cold really easily. We have that in common!

Wow! Our Mom's have a lot in common! Our Mom was an only child, and obviously they have the same choice in cats...
Your Mom really should move to Florida! You would like it here, Kaze!
Kaze, I like your Mommie! And my Mommie never wanted to have any kids either (except me and Pixie!), and she thinks manual transmission cars are fun to drive. I hope sometime you might get to move to Florida. You can hunt some lizards there.
Thanks for telling us about your Mommie, it was fun! And I hope she feels better soon.
That was great info about your Mommie! She and the Tall Man look good together in that first picture! And of course, you and her look great together in the second!
Momma laughed and said cats and their humans often are a lot alike!
She also said your Momma made her feel quite old...
Purrs to you and your Momma so she gets over that cold. I hate getting sneezy spit on me.
You know My Momma was also an only child too...
Sounds like you got a great lady! My Meowm can't have kids now....she says that I am her kid!
Yoo and the Food Lady have a lot in commun. She was going to go to Lawyer Skool, too, but ended up not doing that. She used to be in horsie shows, but she duzn't have a horsie now becuz she duzn't have the time to deevote to it --- and it wood probly meen less time with me, so I'm glad she duzn't have one. She and Mr TF have bin married for 3 yeers, too, and they say that we're thare childrin. I'm not shur whut childrin are. The Tall Man is vary hansum, and yer ladey is vary byootiful!
Kaze, your Lap Lady and Tall Man are a very beautiful couple! My mom had only one beanchild, too. She lives in Italy and my mom keeps wanting to go away and leave me for weeks or MONTHS to visit her daughter :-( I say she has to take all 13 of us kitties with her! (2 of us, Fred & Holly, already live in Italy)

Kaze, your Lap Lady is very beautiful! My mom loves riding horses too, but doesn't like to show. My humans also don't want to have any children.
I hope the Lap Lady feels better soon.
Your humans are beautiful!
Our Mommakitty is almost half a century old (ooops, did we just say that?!)
I liked this. You mom is sooooo young. My mom is almost twice your moms age!!!! she is really olde.
I think it is okay and wonderful if your mom does not want to have kids. (my mommie says they are a lot of work, and too many people have kids so that they can "relive" their lives and have "perfect children") I know some people must ask her why not, but that is none of their business.
I hope your mom gets better sooooon.
Being sick is awful. I did a lot of barfing these past few days but I think I am over it. I just thought I would share that.

I LOVE your mom! She is so much like my mom, just lots younger. She is soo pretty, and looks wonderful with Tall man. She met Dad when she was 18, and moved in at 19, that was 28 years ago! And no kids too.
Come to sunny California (where it is warm) anytime! Bring Latte and Chase too.

The Lap Lady and the Tall Man look really happy together! Thank you for sharing ...
Kaze, thanks for sharing all those great facts about your Lap Lady. (Is she only Meowmy to Latte?) Our Mom is almost twice her age!
Our Mom (and Dad) really like hiking and that's how/where they fell in love. Mom hates to be cold too, but she finds that when she hikes at a brisk pace, she's never all that cold. If your lap lady would like to combine hiking with history, tell her to come hike in our Manassas National Battlefield Park. Mom and Dad go there at least every couple of weeks and really love it.
Oh, and we think your Lap Lady and the Tall Man are a gorgeous couple! You should have a full family portrait because you have such a handsome family.
