Frootbat Friday

Things have been odd in the snuggle room at night. I go in with the LL when she goes to bed and then Latte comes in to sit on top of me. After a while the Tall Man and Chase come along too. Usually around 3-4am Latte gets up and gets us kicked out because he can't be alone. Latte's been sleeping on the satellite receiver because its warm and he doesn't wake up to wake us all up. This presents a problem because sometimes I have to use the litterbox or have a bite to eat or a drink of water. So I've had to get up and then when I come back to snuggle I wake the LL up and she puts us out anyway. I don't like this disruption of routine, it makes me look like I'm waking her up. Maybe when the rain goes away things will go back to normal.

Reading this makes me long for the days when I was an only cat. It was much easier without Clyde here getting me in trouble all the time! I still love him though.

Bad weather often causes maybe bad action, I think the sun will come out soon~!

Have a great weekend to you too~!

I hope things go back to normal soon. You should definitely not be blamed for waking up the LL - it's all Latte's fault!

Love,

Kaze, I can't believe the injustice of it all! Maybe after you return from your toilet break in the middle of the night, if you see the LL waking up on your return just whisper "Shhhhh, this is all a dream. I'm not really waking you up, this isn't happening, I'm not really here!" - it might work!

You could try purring, I've noticed momma forgives many things if I purr. It might even put her to sleep.

I bet Latte has been planning this for a long time. He must have figured it is time for someone else to get in trouble for the early morning wake-ups!

Why does da LL wake up? Mom only wakes up if I step on her bladder, I have never seen someone wake up so fast...but I digress. I find that if I move quietly and don't step directly on her mom won't even move.

Rain is not fun. It can ruin your days and your nights too!

Gee, at least you have a "normal" at your house to return to.

I don't think all of you cats have the LL trained right. We only throw out cats who decide to run across the bed in the middle of the night. Or if they're fighting. Anything else is okay. You need to do more training with her ;-)

I've trained my beans to keep all the doors open, all the time. Not the doors to the garage or outside, of course. And they just don't get it about the closet downstairs.

As for waking beans during the night, it's their own fault if they can't sleep. They exist for our comfort, no?

The secret is not to merf or meeze when you get up or when you come back. Just jump onto the bottom of the bed as far from the beans' feet as possible, then walk gently up the bed until you can snuggle quietly against your LL, then if she shows any signs of waking up, purr, purr, purr and that should send her fast asleep again. Always worked on me, lol:) xxx

The rain has really turned everything around here too. we are not used to it with the dry summer.

Now that it is sunny, everything is good again!!

Beans can get onry if you disturb their sleep. I guess I'm lucky that my mom sleeps alone in a big bed and doesn't mind poodins steping on her in the middle of the night. I hope things settle down for you right quick Kaze. You deserve to sleep the night next to your Lap Lady.
