Thursday Thirteen #40

Thirteen Things To Do When the Weather Gets Cooler.

1. Snuggle!! Snuggle lots and for long periods of time. With yourself, with other cats, with your humans, whatever keeps you warm. This is also refered to warmth sapping. Latte's really good at that.

2. Eat more food! On the cool mornings its nice to eat a nice plate of fresh from the can stinky goodness.

3. Play Thundering Herd of Elephats for at least an hour every night. This assures that you stay nice and fit.

4. Beg steal or borrow playing time. Really DEMAND that your humans play with you.

5. Sniff the cool air when the windows are open. Open windows with cool breezes are really interesting!

6. Explore the front porch because you are allowed out there when the door is open. If you don't have a porch I'm sorry. You should insist one be built for you!

7. Be sure to groom your fur really well since you're shedding your summer coat and getting your winter coat when the sun goes down earlier (unless you are Dragonheart who luckily doesn't have to have hairballs).

8. As a follow up...yak up tons of furballs. This is best done in random spots all over the house.

9. Change your sleeping patterns to toally confuse the humans and sleep through the whole night. I guarantee they will wake up at your usual time anyway and won't have you to blame.

10. Curl up with your humans while they are watching TV. They tend to hang around a lot more and watch more TV.

12. Cry with your humans when their Football teams don't do well. Those Eagles are really getting into trouble....

13. Visit all of your blogging friends and check out what they are all up to. OK that is something to do all of the time but you tend to have more time since the humans aren't as busy.

That's a great list of things to do when it's cooler out. Except for the Football thing. You mean American football, right? You know, over here in Europe (and in most of the world), "Football" is what Americans call "soccer."

Anyhow, I am totally with you on the snuggling and demanding play time. Can't comment on the hairball one, though, since I don't have enough fur to be a problem.

I am getting very good at number 12. I hope the Dolphins can do better so I can cheer with my Mommie at the end instead of cry.

We will have to keep this list for when it finally gets cooler here - expecting over 90 degrees again today! We feel for you with #12 - our Rams are very sad now but we are still trying to cheer for maybe this week will be happy for them!

these are good pointers! i like to climb under the duvet at about 5.30am and disturb them, this is the time when humans wake up and question whether it is worth going back to sleep, so they start to read to stay awake for getting-up-time at 7am - then at about 6.15 they nod off to sleep again! stupid ain't they?

Hhhmmm. It hasn't cooled down here yet. As for yakking up furballs, we don't need it to be a season change for Obi to do that. Nope.
