Overhead......THING!!
Alright, I might need some help from you more experienced cats. So there is this think on the ceiling in quite a few of our rooms. There is one in the kitchen, and in each of the bedrooms. The lights hang from it and then there are these long arm things that go out to the sides. Usually I don't take much note of it but the other day.....THE ARMS STARTED MOVING!! And they spun around in a circle and got really fast. THEN there was this Out of Doors type wind but In the Doors!
I stopped short and started yelling at the thing and at the Lap Lady trying to warn her that this THING might try to eat her. She didn't listen so I had to be brave and I leapt up on the bed to get closer to it. I started yelling louder and I tried to watch one of the arms so I fixed my gaze on it and started to spin in circles following the one arm. Then I tried standing on my hind legs and giving the smallest little hop seeing if I could get closer. I wasn't getting any closer to figuring out the mystery so I leapt down and tried from the ground. Suddenly the Lap Lady flipped a switch and the arms slowed down and eventually stopped.
So do any of you have a clue as to if this THING poses a real danger to either me or the Lap Lady? I know Latte is the House Hunter but he didn't seem so concerned so I have to take matters into my own paws. HELP!

Oh my goodness Kaze! That sounds scary! If Latte doesn't seem concerned you probably don't have to worry about it. It's probably harmless.
that sounds really really skairty! we doesn't haf anyfing in our house that looks like that.
I think there was something like this at my old house. It never hurt me or Meowm...but I would be on the lookout just in case.
I think those things are OK if you don't get too close. We have several of them too. There is one in the master bedroom, and it was on, so I went up on the tightrope to investigate. I got really close! My Mommie yelled at me and said I can't come that close to it when it is moving.
We have 6 of those things! One is even over our litter boxes. I am still trying to catch the movey parts, but so far no success. My humans removed the dangly things, and I am still pouting about it.

We had one of those in the first house that I lived in with Momma. Georgia said to ignore it so I do but it is furry scary looking.
Goodness Kaze, it sounds like you had quite a disturbing experience. We have those things in our house too but I've never felt threatened. I agree, it Latte isn't worried then maybe you shouldn't worry either. I think you'll be safe.
we gots one of those, an it's got an fake hummybird hangin' frum it. we tried reachin' fur it cuz danglin' stuff's just beggin' ta be swatted, but it wuz a no go.
Okay, you know what? WE HAVE THOSE THINGS TOO. A bunch of 'em! In the livin' room, and in the other livin' room, and they're goin' round and round and round and round all the time.

We have those things in every room, too. They're kinda wussie, because when it's cold they don't even bother moving, thay just hang there from the cieling, all useless. But I like them in the summer when it's hot, 'cause THEN then like to move, and all that arm flapping makes a nice cool breeze. Don't worry about tehm eating you. Like I said, they're kind of wussie...
They are scary, but I don't think you have to worry about them as long as you don't get close to them while they are moving. They should make a nice cool breeze for you when it's hot.
I think yoo have to kill it.
Oh! I have this thing at mine house too!
I think they are dangewous! But they are weawwy stupid because they hang there and onwy move awound in circles.
